Royal College of Surgeons, London – 14 September 2016 . “Respect, Responsibility and Remedy in the Maritime Environment” . This first International Maritime Human Rights Conference will focus on explicitly addressing the issue of maritime human rights and associated welfare issues throughout the maritime environment by bringing together industry, civil society and government-level leaders for discussion and debate on current issues that universally affect the human element at sea.

Today the River Thames is alive with activity and is supporting the acceleration of London’s development. We shall hear from James Trimmer, Director of Planning and Environment, Port of London Authority about how commercial operators can use the existing River Thames infrastructure to support the city’s growth and which other industrial and commercial sites, including safeguarded wharves, are available to commercial operators seeking to invest or expand in to new sites.
